The short version: we collect what you give us and a record of the pages you read, we use it to have a useful conversation with you, and we do not sell it to anyone. If you want it deleted, email nick@nickburns.world and it will be.
Who we are
Global Growth Partnership is the trading name of The Discover Group International Limited, a New Zealand company based in Christchurch. We are the organisation responsible for the information described on this page.
Any question about privacy: nick@nickburns.world.
What we collect
- What you tell us. Your name, email address, company and anything else you type into a form on this site - including the International Readiness Scorecard and the Foundation Diagnostic intake.
- Your Scorecard result. Your answers, your score and your readiness band, so we can send your result and pick up the conversation where you left it.
- Payment information. Processed by Stripe. We see that a payment succeeded and the billing name - we never see or store your full card number.
- How you use the site. Pages visited, how long for, which site or email you arrived from, your browser and device type, and an approximate location based on your IP address.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses HubSpot to record page visits. HubSpot sets a cookie in your browser that gives your device an anonymous identifier. If you later fill in a form here, that browsing history is joined to your contact record - so we can see which articles you read before you got in touch.
We may also use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate visitor numbers. That is disclosed here in advance of it being switched on.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or social media tracking.
To opt out: block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use private browsing. The site works normally without them. Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal are honoured where the tool supports it.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and deliver what you asked for
- To deliver and interpret your Scorecard or Foundation Diagnostic result
- To run and invoice a client engagement
- To understand which content is useful, so we write better material
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with advertising networks. We do not send bulk marketing to people who have not asked for it.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of established suppliers. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job:
- HubSpot - customer records and website tracking
- Netlify - website hosting and form submissions
- Stripe - payment processing
- Calendly - meeting bookings
- Google - website analytics, where enabled
We will also disclose information where the law requires it.
Where your information is stored
Our HubSpot account is hosted in Australia. Netlify, Stripe, Calendly and Google store data in the United States and other countries. This means your information is held outside New Zealand, and outside the UK and the European Union, under those suppliers' own contractual protections.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and contact records: while there is an active relationship, and for a reasonable period after, in case you come back
- Financial records: seven years, as New Zealand tax law requires
- Scorecard and diagnostic responses: kept with your contact record, and deleted when that record is deleted
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email nick@nickburns.world and we will respond within 20 working days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you also have the right to ask us to delete your information, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. You can complain to your national data protection authority.
There is no charge for any of this, and asking costs you nothing in goodwill.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged to anyone with an active engagement.
